The “Hong Kong Academy of Politics & Public Policy” (“HKAPP”) jointly established by Path of Democracy, and Hong Kong University School of Professional and Continuing Education (HKU SPACE), organizes the “Senior Executive Diploma in Political Leadership” Programme is now into its 5th year after a hiatus of more than 3 years due to the 2019 riots and Covid pandemic. The course aims to train and discover young political talents for Hong Kong, and these talents are offered with systematic professional training and opportunities to communicate and learn from political leaders of different political spectrums. Save for the last 3 years, HKAPP used to provide an exchange trip to students every year. This year, we are delighted to see that travelings between Hong Kong and the Mainland China have now fully resumed. HKAPP is pleased to announce it will resume its exchange trip to Beijing this year.

The “Senior Executive Diploma in Political Leadership” Programme offers experts in various fields to provide training for students. Lecturers include former Legislative Council Chairman Jasper Tsang, former Secretary for Transport and Housing Professor Cheung Bing-leung, Executive Council member Dr. Lam Ching Choi, and Centaline Group founder Shih Wing Ching. There are nearly 40 students in HKAPP this year, with an average age of about 30 years old, and their careers cover a variety of fields, including corporate management, lawyers, accountants, corporate public relations, media, political and administrative personnel, etc. So far, the number of students in the course has exceeded 150, and many alumni have become members of the advisory committees of governments and public organizations.
