The Law Reform Commission of Hong Kong is now launching public consultations on the introduction of an archives law and the legislation on access to Information. Last night, Path of Democracy organized a workshop with Mr. Ray Poon Hok-chi, Governor of PoD and Research Associate at Shanghai-Hong Kong Development Institute of the Chinese University of Hong Kong and Fudan University, as the moderator to discuss the considerations and the implementation of the protection of government records and the public’s right of access to information with the participants, and make a written submission to the Law Reform Commission.
